Anyone have any idea how to fix this error? I had to reinstall my UT and cannot figure out what the problem is... I can play SS2 fine, but UT keeps failing when I start it... BainSidhe had some suggestions, but so far nothing has worked... :bawling:

If you don't have a video card, you cant run UT2k3, not at all, no software mode or anything, you just cannot play, and even on the odd occasion the game loads up, it will be nigh on unplayable and most probably crash as soon as a fight breaks out.

I don't know why it's not seeing your video card...have you looked in System Devices to make sure it's OK in there? You can go to the UT2K3 shortcut, right-click on it and go to properties, add this "-changevideo" (without "") to try to go to the video choice screen. In Unreal2, there is a "-first run" option for the command line, I'd try that, too, but neither of those worked for me, I just tried it. I saw, searching for a solution, a few threads in other places with this exact problem, but no real good solution was offered. I'd say, check to see if it is OK in your system devices, then consider new drivers. What video card are we dealing with here?

Wheww, this last re-install took care of things (why, I don't know, but hey, no complaints here!) Got latest drivers and things are fine now... Thanks for the tips!! :jammin: :wootrock:
