I've only played the demo. Not bad, but I am not much of a team player.

I really like it, but I'm a sucker for anything having to do with World War II.

It's the game that I play the most. They just need a linux version, or I need to get it to work with Wine.

I didn't care for it at first, but then I got it, never played the WW2 part of it (because I don't like the tanks and planes in it) but the Desert Combat Mod rocks! That is what I play now is only the Desert Combat Mod.

I think its a great game. And I agree that the Combat Mod is much better.

I play this game alot at this LAN computer place. Stay for 8 hours spend up to $40 just to play it with 30 other people.

Much cooperation is required and its what I like. :jammin:

Yeah, cooperation is key. You just can't win without it. It's hard to get any cooperation going on on the EA servers.

OK - explain slowly to me - what is this Dessert Combat thing - is it an add-on/patch and can I play those folk without it if I install it? :hmmm:

By the way - we got it this week because we have been invited to our first Lan Party in the village hall. Wish us luck! :wootrock: :wootrock:

It is a free mod for the game and you download it. There are like 700 servers running DC. Once you install it you can play either BF1942 or Desert Combat. It is not a patch like Sam if that is what you meant. The latest release is .3a. We have a server running called Hugehost 8 for DC. There are always players in it. :)
