Your Blues became just the 18th team in NHL history to choke on a 3-1 series lead. Thanks for playing, see ya in October.

You know, I'm seeing a lot of crap from people who's defending champs were sweaped in 4 games. Frankly, I think the only one that can truly gloat is VC98 and a few others, but a Dead Wing fan, please, go back to watching the Tigers and hang your head in shame!

Hey, I'm having a blast today....other than the fact that a 60 million dollar team blew a 3 games to 1 lead for the first time in franchise history last night... :bawling:

Hey Sal still has the mighty Lions!

I'd rather get swept right after winning the cup then lose in the playoffs for the 24th straight year.

As for the Lions, parity in the NFL will cure us. As for the Tigers, baseball isn't a real sport so they don't count. :D

Look who's talking, the ultimate fair weather fan! I don't see Federov as a avatar anymore (not so cute when losing?)

And a note, I was the only won here who gave credit to victor!

Fedorov turned down 5 years for $50 million before the playoffs. He's an unrestricted free agent after July 1st if we don't sign him but management said they won't offer much more after his performance in the playoffs. Off the top of my head these are our free agents:

Robitaille (95% gone)
Larionov (wants to play but may have to retire because of our young guns)
McCarty (must sign him)
Fedorov (he's a pompus ass but we'd miss him)
Wooley (said he wants to stay)
Yzerman (said he won't play for another team)

Federov and Yzerman are the only class on the wings, IMO. Too bad ..

federov will have a awesome year once he gets out of Detroit.

Luc is no loss, he finished.

Federov is better than Forsberg...when he feels like it, which is the one problem with him.

Is Yzerman going to retire? As much as I hate the Wings, I love Stevie Y. Everybody who's a hockey fan loves Stevie Y.

Rangers are the career killers of the NHL, but if he goes to the Islanders! :jammin: :jammin:

I'd love to see the Islanders rise from the ashes! Great dedicated fans over there! No matter how much they sucked in the past, they took it to the Rangers!

Yzerman will probably be back. He said he wants to play another year and he won't play for another team. I doubt he went through hell to come back just to end his career like that.

Agreed on Luc. McCarty is a necessity, yes! I know Feddy is an ass, but man that boy can skate!!! (and shoot when he feels like it) He's temperamental for sure, but he's good for Detroit... I'd miss Larionov and Stevie terribly if they retired... Wooley, not sure... I'm on the fence with him :hmmm:

Well, I think Quennville is gonna get fired, to be blunt about it. Especially with the Avs and Wings folding in the first round, this was the best chance they would've had in a long time (I don't fear Dallas, we've played them good for the last three years...).

Free agents? I can't even remember right now....

Hey Raven,

St. Louis did a good job containing Bertuzzi - at least on the score sheet by using Pronger and Jackman.

But how the hell are the Wild gonna do this???

Bertuzzi is a runaway train and I think he will completely flatten the Wild Defense.
