Why can't an improvement be a improvement? Link (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1093&e=3&cid=1093&u=/pcworld/20030422/tc_pcworld/110385)

Figures I just decided to download all their fixes last week including this one. At least it's easy to uninstall these patches.

I have had no problems but I don't trust the.
How do I uninstall?

Just go to add/remove programs and the patch is listed. I didn't think it hurt my system at all either until I uninstalled it. Then I realized my applications went from taking 5-6 seconds to open to 1-2 seconds.

I've decided that if in ain't broke don't fix it.....I don't install windows patches anymore....For every one thing they fix, 2 things get broken.

I think I downloaded that update also, I'll have to check when I get home. Aren't some of those patches blocked from un-installing??

Yep, I sure have, but I was on my second day off, so I didn't have time to complete the call! HP cust service has been decent, but they inherited some of Compaq's suckiness when they merged, I feel. The WORST I've ever done is Visioneeer - even after explaining the whole problem (shizz no worky) and that I'd installed 30 of that unit in the last month, and that known good ones work on the system, but this one didn't, and that other systems with known good ones wouldn't run this piece, they still asked more questions, almost down to my shoe size. The guys in the shop considered the call part of my 'earning my spurs' or some such BS. The Visioneer rep was still unconvinced, and didn't want to take my suggestion of us sending it in at our expense so they could test it themselves. They had a few more questions to ask. My buddies busted when I answered, "Uh, to the left", as though they had gotten REALLY personal about the questions.
