Tempting it is, P4 seems to be doing better in a lot of parts than it.... I wanna see 3000+ performance (this is what I want in my next comp to be upgraded).

The 2800 beat the P4 2.8GHz in a lot of benchmarks. The funny thing is that the 2800 is running 400MHz slower and will cost half the price. :lol:

Isnt it only beating it by a small bit in some places .. mainly for games .. because I know that P4 is the fastest for multimeda stuff like graphics and regular applications for your computer ..

the point is that the AMD chips are half the price and can keep up with the Intel chips that are running 400MHz faster. :P

bahh .. i still like Intels better .. :D .. Ive heard that there is a new Intel chip coming out that supposedly will beat AMD in every single benchmark ..

Probably. But then AMD will release the Hammer chip and spank the hell out of Intel, then Intel will release their next chip and beat the Hammer. It's a never ending cycle. But AMD is always a lot less expensive. :wink:

Ive read articles about the new Hammer and saying that when Hammers is "finally" released .. Intel would have already came out with a chip 2 times faster ..

Amd has always been for me a damn good processor.
It may run hotter than others but damn it proves to be much faster.
The 1.4 Athlon is still faster in most tests then Intels 2.0 P4

I have liked AMD ever since the release of the Athlon. I cant wait to upgrade my other comp and use a good AMD chip and nForce2 or whatever.
