Top 100 games ever

IGN is running a special with the top 100 games of all time. Just looking at the first part, it's bringing back a ton of memories. What do you guys think of the list so far? I loved some of these games:

PitFall - I only remember this game because of how much I hated it on my Intellivision.

Phantasy Star II - One of the best RPGs ever.

Golden Axe - My first favorite arcade game.

Wolf3D - The first game I ever installed on my first PC.

SimCity - I just remember playing the crap out of it on NES I think.

F-Zero - Probably never played a racing game more. And I'm not a racing game fan.

Sonic - The reason I bought a Genesis.

Warcraft 2 - The reason I built my first home LAN and second computer. Me and my brother would play my cousin over our 28.8 modems for hours and hours. Thank god it was a local call.

Kid Icarus - The first game I ever faked being sick so I could stay home from school and play.

hey mine has to be blizzard game

i own all of then and played them no stop when i was little (diablo 1)

strangely i grew up on doom samurai and zool(damn banana boos at level 10)

o well the game i mentioned above got my vote and more ones i play now do aswell :D

Wolfenstein 3d... man i played that game too much..


remember the zombie episode? that was amazing. they were crazy hard, like a machine gun implanted in their chest when they shot. and the last boss ottman or something.. he threw knives at you hhee i loved it.

or hitler. "DIE ALLIED SVINE HUND"!

or something like that hehe. then he dies in a big puddle of his own guts.. its the best, he like melts.

i think im going to go play that game now... :rofl: too many good memories.

I sure hope doom and doom 2 make it on that list. they were some of my favourite games of my youth. i even beat all of em on ultra violence.. it was fun.

You gotta love the classics, about Doom 3 that game looks awesome, the monsters are detailed to the point of insanity and the environment is also crazy realistic.
It would be needless to say that its a step above Doom 2. Hell Yeah!! :jammin:

Secret of Mana - One of my favorite games of all time.

Pilotwings - hated it.

Return Fire - The only game I played non-stop on my 3DO

Bionic Commando - One of the greatest 2D's ever made

Contra - Up up down down left right left right b a select start :D

got pokemon blue version beat that game and had a level 100 blastoise and i used no cheats on that game too bad i erased the file
