I have read both threads with your thoughts and concerns about my wife being in the hospital. My first thought is that I have come a long way since the days of considering everybody as just another icon in the bunch.

First, Clean...I appreciate your kind words here bud. As one of the few people here I know personally, I consider you a friend, so accept my sincere thanks.

For all my personal friends who know me in real life, thanks for being friends...

For the Outlaw buds...thanks for all your kind words. I know most of you know me personally, and know the kind of person I am. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

As for the rest of you that I don't personally know, I wish there was a way I could express to you what it means to me to have friends that care about our situation.

My wife is currently experiencing eye-watering pain in her neck and head, and is suffering daily, even on a morphine drip! Meningitis is some nasty **** man...I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Biggest problem is...there is no known cure or treatment! I have no choice but to watch my wife cry in pain as I sit there feeling like a useless ****.

I love my wife more than I love myself...which is to say that I would trade with her in a second if I could.

...but I cannot.

Thanks folks, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. I wish you all well.

Meningitis takes 7-10 days to run it's course...and she's on day 6 now. I hope I never have to experience pure **** like this again in my life.
