Mine's a Medion 4,1 Megapixel (private label of German Aldi SuperMarket branch, they also have stores here in Belgium)

It's very easy to use and the quality is great

Here is what I have.
It is one of the smallest on the market which is the main feature I wanted.
I am very happy with it.
3.2 mp 2x optical zoom.

I ended up getting a 128mb compact flash card because the 16mb it comes with is too small.

I picked up the Olympus C-4000 not to long ago and am very happy with it. It is 4.0 megapixel and has lots of very sophisticated settings if you want them. If you don't intend to use them then it still makes a great point and shoot high quality camera. Price was about $350 at newegg. Not sure if it has come down any or not. Here is a sample of a pic that I took with it. Keep in mind that that I had to crop the pic big time and compress it to about 70% to get it to upload here.

Here is the same original picture which I cropped in on that first one. This was reduced to 1/3 of the original size in pixels and also compressed to 58% to upload here. If you want the original picture PM me and I will email it to you. :)

I researched Digital cameras for 4 months before I settled on the Olympus D-490 Zoom (Feb 2001) with 2.1 megapixel. Rule nubmer 1, after you buy, quit looking at cameras! lol And no matter what you get, plan on a card reader, rechargable batteries, and a larger memory stick/card. Those last two come in real handy when on vacation.

I did the same thing Fantum and settled on the Sony Cyber Shot P72 3.1 megapix. It comes with only a 16mb memory stick, but I picked up a 128mb stick for $55. I took it on vacation with me and was able to get 120 pictures on it with room to spare. (You have about 4 different picture qualities to choose from the higher the quality, the more space that gets taken up on your mem stick).

This model cost me $229 at Best Buy but I had a 10% off best buy coupon and then I was able to get 4 more add-ons for 25% off.(batteries, memory stick, carrying case and card reader). I think that was as good of a deal as I could find anywhere.

I don't remember if the 3.1 was out when I bought mine, but you did get a good deal. I bought mine at Circuit City, and I spent around $400.00 and I bought a 128 mg card, a carring case, and a reader. I can take about 130 pictures on that card, with only 3 resolutions to choose from. On the lowest resolution, I can get about 800 pictures which is just awesome! The biggest thing to keep in mind too is, these digital cameras are sensitive to weather conditions and changes in atmosphere. Going from a cold air conditioned car, to the hot and humid outdoors might cause problems with the camera. Or vice versa. You CAN'T let them get wet, or damp, and keep them out of the hot sunlight. Make sure the card is always completely seated too, digital pictures do not come out all that well when all of the information can't get on the card. But defenately get one, cause they are awesome!

I've got myself an Olympus D40Zoom. It's a 4.0 megapixel camera and slightly bigger than a deck of cards. Very easy to use and has quite a few really sweet features too. My friend from work just picked up the Olympus C50Zoom which is a 5 megapixel camera that's even a little smaller than mine but has pretty much all the same features. I love my camera because it takes excellent pictures and is small enough to carry around with me in my pocket. I highly recommend either. Here's a few links for both the 40Z and 50Z

Here is a link to the review on my camera. Minolta F100 (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/minoltadimagef100/)

I got it for Christmas this year after a lot of shopping around. I bought it NEW off Ebay in a package that included 16mb Secure Digital Card (Which I promptly replaced with a 128mb card ) and rechargeable batteries w/charger...

Camera is stainless steel, sturdy and takes Excellent pics!!

I have the Sony Cybershot dsc-s85 4.1megapixels from CircuitCity for $439.00. Really nice camera!
I would suggest getting the most pixels you can afford. Our old Canon was a 1.2 megapixel and took great pictures but it can't hold a candle to the clarity and richness of this here Sony.
