Thanks for the quick response everyone. This is frustrating and I am sure someone is working on it. I'll just keep checking back until it speeds up again. I guess this is the evidence, that men want it wham, bamm, thank you maam!

it seems to be slow early in the day, then after a few cups of coffee, it speeds up. Now it's decent, but 3 hours ago it was turtle time.

This is why our site has been up and down:

"A site on that server is getting around a million raw hits a day, it's all static content so that's not the problem, the problem is when stats runs at night, the analog stat analyzer is chewing up all the ram and then the server just churns until someone notices and kills the stats process.

I've disabled stats for that site."

Just be patient until they figure this out. I noticed the speed seems better but let me know if it still sucks for you.

I'm just as frustrated as you guys. As soon as I type "it's OK" it goes back to being slow and vice versa. I'm working with the host on this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey SAL, we knew you were working on it and I don't think anyone that is complaining is meaning it towards you, just the problem, whatever it is! I for one, won't complain about you, just to you! I know your on it! And a fine job you do too! Keep up the good work. And Thank you for having us!

That's what I wanted to say, but I didn't want to get into trouble, so I changed the "b*" word for "complaining". lol

The Seriously! forums are slow ALL the time. GameMecca has had a rather remarkable track record so far. There's bound to be kinks from time to time.

Here was the reason for the slow down today:

"At approximately 8:39 am (CDT -5) a senior network engineer made a BGP related mistake while troubleshooting a routing issue. This mistake caused approximately 6 minutes of degraded network performance.

Or, in plain English, we messed up...

We apologize for the problem and it should not occur again."

And so the contest for the funniest meaning for BGP begins! :w00t:

Just tell em to put GM on it's own dedicated server and be done with it. Then we'd have some uber bandwidth and storage
