:bawling:

i always loved that guy.

why did he have to end it on a bad note?
he should have done it after a fairly decent post-season run... like mabye 3rd round or so.

Best Goalie I ever saw! Class act too! I remeber when The Whalers were leaving Hartford and he played his last game there. He was one of the few players who said they'd miss Hartford and complimented the fans! Back then, to me, he was the Anti-Christ in pads! When he played for Montreal, there was no better, even stole a cup from Gretzky! love him or hate him, you have to respect his abillities!

I've always hated Roy. Ever year when he came through here at playoff time he had nothing but billboard material to say. Whether he won or lost, he was still an ass to Detroit.

Class act unless you were a Red Wing!! Remember the Goalie Fight with Vernon in 1997 then in 1998 with Ozzie??? That was not class!!! :w00t: He was always a poor sport when the Avs played the Wings... Hence the nickname, Waaaaah! :P Sorry Pure, but Good Riddance to him... :wave:

Yeah, I remember Shanny suckering Roy on his way bye. Wouldn't expect any well wishes from a Dead Wing fan. Not much class in Hockey Town, except for Yzerman.

How's Drapers face looking?

Shanny's got class...

<span style='color:red'>Shanahan took Nicklas Lidstrom&#39;s pass and beat Patrick Roy from the left circle.

"My first NHL goal was pretty exciting, and it&#39;s nice to get the 500th," Shanahan said. "In my six years here, I don&#39;t know how many goals Nick has given me like that.

"I&#39;m glad it wasn&#39;t a cheap goal. Patrick Roy is one of the best goaltenders to ever play, and I have a lot of respect for him.

"It was against a rival and it was the game-winner, and that makes it a bit more meaningful."

Maybe he found it in Detroit, but when he was in Hartford, he was a Ass&#33;

That&#39;s OK, Roy sounds like he lost his class when he went to Colorado unless it was only on Red Wing game days...
