ummm how hot should these run?? I haven't over clocked at all. Don't know how. But is 119 normal?? That is what the display on the front says. I have never seen it this hot before. Using asus prob it says 109-110. I am not sure where the asus probe gets its reading from. The display on front had a probe to put under the proc when I hooked it up and that is what I did.

Little warm in the puter room, so I opened the window and the reading on my case (the front) dropped to like 114 right away. Just wondering how hot these babies run.

Must not rip it up in Q3 so much :shifty:

grimmy that cpu should be around 45-55 degrees and maybe 60-65 in an extreme hot room with low cooling. all in all you are safe up to 70 degrees but not healthy for system. how many system fans do you have in your unit?

:hmmm: that seems a little low for temp Bigg. Right at the current time I am running about 111 F (according the to display on the front of my case) and Asus probe says about 104F. That is proc temp. The mobo is about 77F.

I just don't want to burn anything up. But a new proc would be nice, but then again with out OCing I dunno.

Bigg's post was in Centigrade not Fahrenheit I believe. Most people use C anymore for temps. My XP 2100+ @ 1800 runs about 57C idle and goes up to about 64 when gaming. My case stays fairly cool 29C idle and around 34 gaming. My CPU temp has been creeping up and I might reapply some Artic silver and see if that helps. It is getting warmer around here and I will be monitoring my temps.

Asus probe gets it's readings from the Bios.

F versus C, Grimmy, your F degrees are alright. 60-65 C is 140-149 F. :hmmm:

my AMD 1.4 runs at about 118 idle and 133 gaming. AMD told me not to exceed about 190 I have OC'ed it before and it got up to 138. These temps are from a Hardcano temp probe. I dont think that you have a temp problem. Sounds ok to me.

Grimmy, we have the same processor I think! Mine runs about 102 degrees. Maybe you should invest $15 on one of those cooling duct thingys like I have.(sorry forgot the name of it) Shogun will know!

You mean that silver tubing looking thing?? I remember that. I have that thermaltake coolfan on it, but I just don't have the lights hooked up yet. Need to like rewire everything, so that it looks neats. I think that thermal take fan works pretty good. Any the other 7 fans (2 in front, 2 on the side, 2 in the back, and 1 on top) do a good job of moving air around. I would like a little more, but then again, it is loud enough the way it is. Just wish those little fans would move a little more air.

You must have a huge power supply

I think it is like 420W. I will have to double check to make sure. I need to finish my rig, get some pics and make a system specs page, so I don't keep forgetting all this info of what I have.

I went ahead and ordered one for myself today, I got fed up with this sucker rebooting on me.
