What would you guys like to see on the GM homepage? New features, graphics, stories? Give me some ideas as I would like to spruce it up a bit. If you like you can just give me other sites that you think look cool.

That site looks pretty cool. Hey SAL, are we limited to what we can do because of the software you are using or can we pretty much do what we want?

The software that I use to code the site is a very advanced package called EditPlus, or to be more specific, NotePad. This uber l33t programming package has cost me thousands of dollars but I am a slave to the GameMecca machine. NotePad owns me, and I own Hammer, so therefore it is safe to assume NotePad also owns Hammer.

We are only limited by the language of PHP itself...

Give Sean123 a free copy of UT so he'll start pumping out some custom GameMecca maps.
Screenshot of the week might be fun. We could all vote on the offerings each week. Good for participation, good for post counts.
A monthly player spotlight? You'll want to start with me of course. :D

There should definitely be a Hall of Fame too. That is really really big with the members. Complete with a profile, in-game pic of choice, and lots of info on each player.

A GameMecca smilies contest? I know there are a lot of people around here who are talented with Photoshop. It would be cool to have something like a Kleer shoting a rocket at a UT character with a <insert favorite UT gun here>. It would be great for the SS vs UT discussions. :wink:
Maybe we could get someone to draw a GameMecca cartoon strip every month?
Or maybe all my ideas blow and I should just shut up. :roll:

Hmm...I guess you might be right.
Besides...I might be one of the best from the Sam site, but certainly not the best here...at least I don't think so. Who knows...who cares? It's FUN!

lol, i just ment that your one of the best in sam, and that you would surely be in the fall of fame regardless, where as others might try but not suceed, no harm intended, sorry if i worded it worng *HAMMER*. didnt mean any offense
btw, i was talking about a universal hall of fame, for both UT and ss2 :)

First thing that needs changing is the white background. All cool sites have black, dark blue, or red.
I agree! Besides, my avatar looks like crap on the light background. :wink:
