Hey guys, for those of you who have off-site avatars, can you please tone down the file size of them. There are alot of members who have avatars well over 100K which completely screws over narrowband users and even annoys the broadband guys. I can grab a hack which limits off-site avatars to certain sizes but I rather just talk to you guys instead. Thanks.

Ok no problem but how can i make animated gifs smaller without resizing it?

I'd like them to be around 30-50 but 70 isn't terrible.

Ok mine is 70 kb now and Saurons is 84 kb. Im sorry but I couldn't reduce it much more.

If u still have trouble tell me and I think of something else :D

I removed my beloved dragon and i reduced the frame number of the animation.

I could lower the colors and details but that looks awful!

It's just that the dial up people get the shaft because everytime they view a thread they have to download a 100k worth of avatars. LOL

ok i lowered down min to 97 kb...i hope thats enough..if not tell me and ill shorten it even more

As I said if the dial up people still have problems with my avatar to load they should tell me and I will change my avatar to a not animated one. :)

I want them to have fun here as well and I know it sucks when the page keeps loading [size=9:89ba1fee42]and loading [/size:89ba1fee42][size=7:89ba1fee42]and loading.......[/size:89ba1fee42]

Hey Sal, I am on dial up, and fortunately when you access the forums they load the posts first before the avatars. I can read the whole page even while some peoples avatars are still loading. It's not like you have to wait for them to load like it was at Seriously. But I think that the 500k and one meg ones are a bit much.
