I can play single player all day long but it locks my computer up before I can even play one game online. I think the drivers for the ATI do not like the freeze tag mod or something. :WTF:

What version drivers are you using? You have a 9700 Pro?

I have the 9700 Pro, and I am using driver 6.14.1.6292 and have had no problems at all. :WTF:

What Catalist version is that? I'm using the 3.4

I have no problems.
Use these drivers and catalist.

This is only if your card is built by ATI.

Is your card built by ATI or powered?
I think the powered may be different.
I have no problems at all with Quake.

Are you overclocking? or are you running agressive settings?
roll them back to see if it makes a difference.
