Anyone still interested in Quake1? I know I am. I have downloaded several engine mods and I have been very impressed.

Tenebrae: This mod is absolutely amazing. It makes Quake1 look spectacular (although need a very hefty syste/vid card to run perfectly). There is a project that is also working to change all models/textures to .md3 format (like quake3). Check out this shot of Tenebrae with new textures:

Telejano: Just downloaded this one. One of the neatest things it has is the 3rd person view for Quake. Man this great I have been waiting to see what this game looks like in 3rd person. Pretty fun with some added enhancements (fog for example as you can see in the shot).

Get them at planetquake! There definately worth trying!

Oh that brings back the memories. Poor old Glide seems to be dead and gone with 3DFX. :( (May they RIP) Back in the day if you had a Voodoo 2 card you had a pretty good system and if you had 2 and hooked them up SLI, You were really kickin butt. Somewhere around here I've got an Quantum3D/Obsidian X24 http://www.gamersdepot.com/oldsite/rev-quantum3d-obsidian.htm that K-Pax gave me. Now that was the baddest thing going back then at $600. Slik I've even got some old Voodoo 1s around here somewhere. Do you remember those?
