New map crashed the server?

I just played the Devinci(sp?) map. Very nice but the game ended and the score screen was showing but the game sounds and messages kept popping up. I tried to exit and rejoin and got the Invalid PK3 file message. :bandhead:

Just did it again. That map is hosing the server. :bawling:

It finally cycled to the next map. Then I got disconnected half way through the game. :bawling:

Man.. I wish I knew why it does that :bandhead: . Maybe because the maps were not designed for freeze :hmmm: Man if anyone knows speak up :oooo:

I found that if you go to spectate and then re-join you get back in. The only thing is the map replays :bawling:

What do you think of the maps you got to play?

That is weird. Are the maps that I sent you still on the server, or did you pull them off??


I know that those maps go in the base folder in your Q3 directory, if that makes any difference. I know I have a few in my ufreeze folder. I will do some asking and see what I can find out.

Every Q3 map should work with UFT. If one doesn't, it's probably a bug in UFT.

It is possible that the map rotation is messed. I've seen it on quite a few servers, and it's not a UFT-specific thing. I don't know exactly how they did it, but it was a configuration problem.

And yes, the maps go in your baseq3 folder. :) You guys are running your server pure, right?

If you're sure there's a problem with UFT, gather as much information as you think is pertinent and post about it at in the Bugs forum at http://forum.ufreeze.com.

I found I had a map name spelled wrong :bandhead:
jax_v21 so I added it to my good config and it still didnt work. I dont beleave its a UFT problem. I could send you my config if you like?

You'd probably get your problem fixed faster if you posted your config at the forums at ufreeze.com and clan-oth.com. As weird as it sounds, I'm not exactly a server configuration guru. :) Those guys have been doing UFT servers for a long time.
