plz plz help

ive been trying to fix this for so long... when i open internet exlorer or a folder or my computer... my comp freezes for like 5 minutes and it pisses me off... can anyone plz help me?

delete all of the .url files from the folder, if it is only one folder that is happening in.
IE will attempt to find an icon for every .url file it finds. it does this by looking for an
icon on each website....
