Ho do you create SS;SE mods?

I think you have to purchase a license from Croteam to do a mod. That gets you their source code. But you have to know how to program.

There is really no point in making a mod (or a map for that matter) because chances are they will never get played anyway because SS doesn't support autodownload.

Not true, (example Dance's world) but max, your questions can
be better answered at seriouszone.com or seriousengine.com.
Those sites feature more people that are interested in that stuff.
We are pretty much into playing the game and not developing it.
