How can this be done.
What I am trying to do is convert a mpeg format to VCD format.
What programs will I need to get this done?

There are different types of mpgs, some that are vcd compliant, some that are not.
The ones that are compliant can just be added to a vcd compilation,
the other ones need a plugin to do the conversion,
and yes, it is a very slow process to reencode the entire file and then burn it,
can take a couple of hours...

Well it worked. I found a plug in for nero and went to town.
It took about an hour to encode to VCD format.
Then I had to burn the file to 2 disks.
And it works well.

Now for the fun part.
Converting a SVCD to a VCD. I gotta find another plugin for nero to get it done.
It is actually rather easy.

1....START ISO-BUSTER
2....CHOOSE MPEG2 FOLDER ON CD
3....RIGHT CLICK MPEG2 FILE
4....CHOOSE "EXTRACT BUT FILTER ONLY M2F2 MPEG FRAMES"
5....LET IT DO ITS THING
6....OPEN NERO AND CHOOSE "VIDEO/PICTURES "VIDEO CD"(VCD)
7....THEN CLICK "ADD" AND CHOOSE THE NEW FILE ISO-BUSTER MADE...
8....NERO WILL DO ITS THING AND DONE....
