Is this not some crap. Pop up killers advertising with pop ups. I don't even have to have IE open for them to come up on Dixie's Computer. :bandhead: :bandhead: :bandhead: :bawling:

I don't want to sound stupid, but I have ad-aware as well and I still get pop ups. Do I have to turn it on somehow, or does is it supposed to just work after you install it. BTW, the scan says I have 243 new programs and that's it. I thought it checked spyware.?. :hmmm:

I use to get those too. I use spybot whick is a free program that can get updates regularly unlike ad aware. And that took care of 99.9% of them. And now Nortons Internet Security too, and that keeps everything out to begin with, it doesn't even let ads on the web page show up anymore

they are different things. the messenger popups get nuked by a real firewall or stopping the service
all that browser crap is programs that have attatched themselves to internet explorer, cookies
and other garbage that slows down your system, so anyone reading this should do both.
