You bought one of those nice +- Sonys, didn't you? I know nothing of burning DVDs yet, but I'd better learn, I suppose, I really like DVD viewing over VHS (duh) and I might get the kids a DVD unit for downstairs; it'd be nice to burn them a disc and put the 'master' away....they tend to not handle things as carefully as I would like.

Yes, I did get one of those noce Sony +-, but I don&#39;t do a lot of DVD burning. Check with Machine, I think he went nuts with DVD burning. The first thing I discovered is that you can&#39;t make a one-for-one backup copy of a commercial DVD. All blanks are 4.7gig and the commercial DVDs exceed that. The DVD I tried to copy using Nero, and it did try, was 8 something gig. What most DVD burning software does is either compress the video or split it into two parts. :WTF:
