ok whenever i double click on a folder to see whats inside... it doesnt open the folder but search whats in it. it happens to all my folder and the only way i can open it is to right click and click open. and it gets very annoying. so can anyone help so i can double click to open it?

I use Win98se, but i'm sure XP is kinda the same, But since you didn't say what OS you are using ....... In windows explorer go to View, Then folder options, on the general tab there's a custom settings button, click the settings option and check that the Double click to open an item box is ticked.

in XP, look in your control panel, in there I have folder options

you can also find folder options under tools in your windows explorer windows

sorry guys but the thing only fixed the folders but not the subfolders. the subfolders still search when i double click it. and the real strange thing is i just formatted.

there should be a button to make all folders like current folders,
just open a good folder then try that...
