View Full Version : UT3 Troubleshooting

I'm having problems with this game. For some reason it keeps freezing up on me. This is only in single player, because I can't seem to query any servers either. One thing at a time though. I have 256 of Ram... is that not enough for this game? I have a Geoforce Ti4400...so it's not that. Any ideas??? Bad disk? Also, there are suppose to only be three disks right? Thanks...

I have 512 DDR MB RAM with the Gforce4MX400. So it suns almost as good as urs. There are only suppose to be 3 disks. My friend had this problem like what you are having. His problem was a scratch on the disk.

I downloaded updates for my video card, and that seemed to fix the hard lock freeze I was getting. Unfortunately, I still can't query any servers... I thought there was a thread in here about that??? :roll:

Hey ~NF~, Do a search here using this ( servers and ut* ) to see if will help you. Without the ()s. That will give you all the post that mention the words servers and ut in them.

Better yet go here http://www.unrealtournament2003.com/, Click on forum, then tech support. This will take you to the same place SAL was taking you to. I couldn't get his link to work either for some reason. Try the search there too.

BTW What OS are you using, Win98 or XP? Which video card driver version did you end up using?

OP system is Window ME unfortunatlely. Video card is GeForce Ti4400... I'll skim through the stuff to try and find an answer. Thanks.

Is this the full version or the demo? I had problems like that with the demo but not the full version?

Full version. Apparently there is a problem sometimes with ME and 98 OP systems. It's one of those "glitch" things... which inevitably happen to me. :cry: I downloaded a couple of patches too... still can't query any. I'm about ready to bag it, go get my in store credit, and stick with Quake 3. Playing a game shouldn't be this difficult... especially one that cost this much. :lol:

get yourself xp or 2000 dude... they're TONS better than ME and you can run the best game ever... there's plenty of pirated copies of them both out there...not that I'm saying you should pirate MicroSluts software :evil:

Don't bag it just yet ol' buddy, give us some time to look around to see if we can find something. I'll start looking now. :shock: There is a patch that is supposed to released soon, but I'm not sure what all it is supposed to fix. I read it, but I can't remember what all it said. I'll try to find it again and post the link or does someone else know where it's at?

BTW ~NF~ I installed Q3 lastnight. Yo butt will be mine!!!!!!! :P

I'm not sure how to fix it if this is it. You are using Compuserve aren't you? Do they use a different browser than Internet Explorer? You might try upgrading it they do.

I think the game has issues with 98 and ME. Sounds like a great excuse to upgrade if you ask me. :wink:

I'm using Win98SE, but I might just be one of the lucky ones that it works for.
