Do not call list starts Friday

The national do-not-call list starts on Friday:

It's pretty much a guarantee that this webiste will crash and burn once it opens, but it will be nice to cut down on some of these damn phone calls.

LA has had it since 2001 also, the only problem is the phone still rings but it hangs them up. So if you see Unavailable on the caller ID, just answer it and hang it up but sometimes I have seen unavailable and answered the phone and it was a friend or a call that I needed to take. :wacko: Good luck!

I have an option built into my phone that makes those "people" identify themselves before the call goes through.

earthlink has that (a whitelist), I have turned it on and it is pretty brutal and ruthless.
I also put it on my daughters acct, and no longer need to worry about crap getting through to her.

Hmmm, I have earthlink service, but I have always just used Outlook 2k. Have to check that out, as spam has become increasingly annoying lately.
