Question: Why do So many here hate P2P Games?

I just wondered, seems like so many people here are anti- P2P games, I want to know why.

i dunno what a p2p game is really (im thinking Kazaa and i can never get any of their games to work), as for PS2 its a good console, i mean its got fairly good graphics, a biult-in DVD player, and nothing else a standard PC doesnt come with&#33; So a PC is beter but more expensive&#33; :thumbs:

Burn The Witch: Probably because if one person lags, it lags everyone else. I.E. if oyu play MAME online youd definately understand this

I think the meaning of P2P explains why i for my part don&#39;t play those games &#33;&#33;&#33; I&#39;m going to university and don&#39;t earn money yet so i don&#39;t see a point in first paying money for a game to get it then paying again for playing it&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; (Yes i am one of the few persons that still buy most of the games they play :P )


Maybe if i would earn money yet i would at least consider playing one of those games but as long as i don&#39;t earn my own money i unfortunately can&#39;t play&#33;&#33;&#33;

u needed to specify what u meant by P2P, most of these pay to play games are MMO, and im not going to pay just to join a server. Maybe if it was lagless i&#39;d pay, but games like EQ are full of bugs and are a waste of &#036; and time&#33; :down:

i am sure that there are plenty of gaming sites devoted to those types of games,
but for us, here, it is all about show me what you can do&#33;
Paying monthly fees sucks, especially after having to buy the game.
So we put up with a little more lag, but no biggie...

i understand Saurons point, but IMO Pay to Play is definetley worth it. With MMO games, you get new stuff each month, new monsters, new areas to play, new weapons, new places.

I wouldn&#39;t buy a game if I had to pay to play.

Oh, by the way, about the p2p thing....

there are going to be a couple of games coming out that are similar,
but are completely free to play on the companies servers
the difference is that the companies will be offering new maps and expansion packs.
if you want the new stuff, you can pay
that is a much better way of doing things IMO,
although depending on the release cycles and the costs the money may be the same,
but it is optional&#33;
