Actually the hosting company didn't pay the bill at the data center so they shut him down. DON'T do business with xgamer.net! :loser: I am making other arrangements. :cool:

It's located in Arizona. At first I thought man it is going to be too far away and the ping wouldn't be that great but it pings just fine and you can't beat an uncapped connection. They have a 400MB pipe. It's tough to find a company that is reasonable in price to allow you to host your own games. Usually they have preinstalled ones and you don't even get your own box.

I think we can come up with &#036;19 if you&#39;d run a server. :thumbs:

Tell you what, I will run the server because this company supports it so they will put the required server files on my box if I ask them, if you all think it is good and worth keeping, then you can hook me up with the game. I know nothing of Quake 3 and have never played it. Sound good? What mods are you all playing?

Slice those dedicated server programs work well generic quake and with some quake mods. Fragetti hipped me to Q3ASC and it seems to be the best because it will let you run custom config files. Not sure, But I think that Fragetti ended up just making his own batch & config files though because neither of them worked too well with UTF.
