I don't have a DVD drive, but this place should help:
DVDSoft.net (http://www.dvdsoft.net/)

I don't know how limited the shareware is, but WinDVD (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3890)is popular.

I have WinDVD to play VCD files (i dont own a DVD Drive yet), its really good, there is like a 30-day-trial version of it.

But you can always try and crack it!

If you want free, MS Media Player should play your DVDs. It does in XP anyway.

I use PowerDVD

Its awkward that I found the CD in our house. Considering we never had a DVD capability on our old computer.

Then you don't have a codec installed. What is the error message you are getting ?
