View Full Version : And yet another chess tournament this weekend....

State championship qualifier, too Game/45 minutes...5 rounds......

Sigh, I am TOO busy now ...if I want my Fide Master title, I'm going to have to work even harder....

And last weekend was brutal .....
I had to play 3 players rated over 2300, and TWO of the three were rated over 2400

And to think that I was winning vs Casella (the lowest rated of the high masters, 2300 and something), but could only draw, and then I had emory tate crushed, and lost because, I got in time pressure and didn't find the winning line, which removes all resistance (I could have won 3 pawns for the exchange, and very quickly won his Rook) with my two transsexual pawns, and then I lost to an International Master by getting into an opening that is just +/= for White....when I'm Black.....NOT where I wanted to be

I've learned a lot from those games, though...I need to study tactics, book up on all the openings that I get into, and I DO have the ability to BEAT these strong players.... and I also have to stop getting in time pressure :(

I take it the higher you are ranked the better? Any prizes or awards for kicking ass?

If you don't have time limits in chess, some players will make the game last for days....boring.

Fast chess is cool.

Good luck. I haven't played chess in ages. Not sure how everything moves anymore or any strategy. Just will have to have a laptop with my with chessmaster8000 on it :mrgreen:

Yea, but the Chessmaster it too smart. Have to have some dumb person play so I can win hehehe

And they move too slow, I want them to move fast without thinking! :twisted:

Just how many servers does Hammer have running?? Every time I turn around, I hear someone saying the he has another one running. In that case, how many porn servers you have running Hammer :mrgreen:

lol The GameMecca porn server. And it would be healthy for our site members. Give them a chance to break from gaming and give their mouse hand a different exercise to do.... :D
