I'm hosting a Dungeon Siege game on the 'net Friday, and we are going to play one of the new "Siegelet" expansion packs.

Anybody interested in joining us? I can set up voice communication and give you the IP to join us.

Look at that....two posts in one day! I'm on a roll!!! :)

I always wanted to try Dungeon Seige. Can you still find it in stores?

Oh, you are quite missing out on a good one here dude. It is the best "RPG-Action/Adventure" game I have ever played. Lots of action, and no boredom from beginning to end. Yes, you can buy it...I bought one just last weekend at Wal-Mart for 20 beans. (I lost my originals somewhere...)

I'm still trying to decide whether I want to host a starter game, or build up some characters for a more advanced session.

I probably will start with the 0/0 guys tho...just for the adventure of it.

It's really great...there are no classes. Your character builds abilities and levels based on what he/she uses in the game. If you tend to use more magic, then you level up in magic quicker, and accordingly, if you beat the sh*t out of everything in site, you become a weapons expert.

The game is also very challenging at times, forcing you to use team tactics to survive.

I found that it's best that somebody play the mindless "barbarian" type with nothing but armor and weapons skills, and then have someone play an archer/mage type, and somebody play another supporting role, and it makes it easier to survive.

This is similar to Diablo, right? I may swing by EB and see if they have a copy lying around.

it's a really cool game. it tends to be cpu bound rather than video card bound.
i thought it was fairly easy. it is kind of net to let the characters go at it in the battles,
with not much interaction necessary. the one thing I didn't like
is that there is no real ending. you beat the last dude and then you are
like wandering with no other monsters to kill or anything...

Tell us some more about the multiplayer on this game. Can you use the same characters as you play through the game and through modules (I assume there are some modules out there somewhere)?
