Mine is working fine as well, but I thought I would try a tracert just to see what would happen. Can you tell me what the three different numbers represent? (ping, I assume?) Also, would a firewall make the last part happen??

ping or response time is correct, and yes, it looks like you are hitting a firewall.
each line is a different router that is being hit on the way to gamemecca
what i find strange is that it looks like you are hitting a firewall at what appears
to be inside att's network, on on the backbone that they use.
that would make it hard to diagnose problems.

I was looking for more of a 'what each response time number respresents' kind of number.

I assume the firewall has something to do with our network here at work. I'll have to try it at home and see if it's any different.

well, your system shoots out 3 sequential icmp requests, the numbers
represent the time for each to get a response. frequently the first
number will be higher than the others, as it sets the initial path
in a router, and the others are a continuation of the same traffic...
combine them & divide for an average time

I had internet related problems today too. I could get a page to open, but then the program would stop "responding". :bandhead:
I cut the power to my router (for 20 seconds) and did a reboot of my PC, everything appears to be working OK now.
Had me scared though.....I had just unpacked my PC from the LAN party, and thought something was f'd up!:)
