hi all, i just downloaded a 200 mb halflife video.
it is pretty awesome, called hl2-traptown.exe
this demonstrates some amazing physics and ai
doors can be blocked, soldiers will go to windows, or try
to break down the doors, things can be blown up to smash people, etc.
well worth the download.

I might go take a look, I enjoyed the E3 thing, but after the delay news (http://www.gamemecca.net/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=109&t=18329), it's a bit bittersweet. :bawling:

Just to put a 'bump' on this thread, the latest on HL2 is that it is NOT delayed, and a company spokesperson sez, well, this:

No Half-Life 2 Delay After All - 31 July 2003 13:30 - John [JCal] Callaham User Comments : 0
A few days ago, we linked to a GameSpot srticle which (along with other web sites like GamePro, GameSpy and IGN) stated they had heard from an unnamed Vivendi Universal Games spokesperson that Half-Life 2 would not make its Sept. 30 launch date. HomeLAN attemped to contact Valve for confirmation of this news but as of yet received no reply. Now another wrinkle has happen as fan site Beyond HalfLife has received a note from VU Games spokesperson Amy Farris stating, "Valve is still working toward the Sept. 30 ship date". We will try (again) to get some kind of confirmation about this and also why the major web sites were told otherwise earlier this week. Update We have now managed to chat with Ms. Farris over the phone who confirmed that Valve is still planning to ship Half-Life 2 on Sept. 30. She also called the previous news on its delay from the other major gaming web sites "a miscommunication".
