PS Is the gameplay laggy? and Hhow many people are allowed on a server?

From what I read, it looks like 32. But I haven't gotten into a server that big just yet. I tried one with 8 and it seemed to work OK for a mod. For example, when you run into another players car, the synchronization is kind of weird. They pull it off though. It's fun.
