For a roleplaying game super-freak like me, this game is great!

My character is slow though, and the game runs like crap on my system.

Oh, well, back to playing. If you haven't played it before, check it out.

I'm the same way. Haven't played it yet but it's next on my list if I ever figure out Baldur's gate.... :wacko:

Cool i played a short "demo" of it and it looked cool. It falls in the same category as Baldur's Gate, with awesome graphics....i'm of course too simple minded and have trouble managing my character.....if i have more time on my hands i'll probably think of investing some $$$ into this one!

PS There is also a Neverwinter Nights Expansion out now....i forget the name, but heard that it was worthy!

Yeah, they keep putting ads for the expansion pack in the game. Like when you level up it has options "You can only get this with the expansion pack!". I don't have it. The game obviously knows that. No point in putting them there... ;)

I like the game though. It's just sooooo slow.

Slow as in it skips when there is any significant amount of stuff on the screen.

Even if I wanted to, I can&#39;t.

There&#39;s no reason for that game to be slow at 800x600 with no AA or AF. I have an 1800+, Radeon 9700, and 1.25GB of memory running XP Pro on a 10K SCSI drive.

No reason for it to be like that, especially when I can run BF1942 @ 1600x1200 with 4xAA and 8xAF.

Sounds like it might be a driver issue with the Radeon card. I played it back when I had a Geforce3 Ti500 and played it at 1600x1200 I think.

Yeah, it could be that. I upgraded to the 3.6 cat drivers because the 3.5s had even worse problems with the game.

Overall I think this Radeon has been a bit too much trouble.

I agree. I have a 9700 Pro AIW card and it is really fast but has been more problematic then all the Geforce cards that I&#39;ve had.

Yeah, I&#39;m not happy with them. Sometimes Windows just forgets it&#39;s video settings (jumps down to 1024x768@60 when it&#39;s supposed to be 1280x960@120).

My friend just bought a new FX9800U (or whatever their top model is) and he&#39;s having problems with some games. Seems like this is a bad time for product quality.
