I saw a commercial the other night for the Lord of the Rings game, and I know it is supposed to be for X-Box and PS2, but does anyone know if there is going to be a PC version as well? The game looked pretty cool, that much I can tell you....

I was getting really excited, til I saw it is for one person only. Baaaaaaahhhhhhh
The graphics look nice, but I'm afraid that this came out a bit too fast. What engine is it based on? Is it an RPG or 1st person action game?

Why do you say it came out too fast?
Well it usually takes a couple years to develop a major game. That development time can be reduced if you use an already existing game engine. The graphics look pretty good, but I'm afraid they put most of the emphasis on making it eye candy and less emphasis on the actual gameplay. Especially since it runs on so many different platforms.
I've never been impressed with any games that were based on movies. They are created purely for profit. They are usually worth about as much as the cheap little plastic movie figures that you get free with a MCDonalds kid's meal. I may be wrong. I hope so.

I read all the books when I was in sixth grade, read them again a few years later, was the movie last year. Surprisingly I probably won't do much more than rent the game for my PS2.
