If any of you people live in Mighigan and know where Cedar Springs is I am gonna try to set up a Lan Party, but I need to know what I need first, stuff that costs nothing if possible.

I just thought I would offer invitaitions to you guys before the public if I can get this thing going.

you need lots of tables and a router for a high speed connection.
dialup makes things more complicated, and browsing will be more difficult
the people coming should bring cables, hopefully hubs/switches,
chairs, computers/monitors, headphones, and powerstrips.
A working a/c is also mandatory :)

there is no a/c in the church gym but there is lots of fans that can be turned on and they already have the tables and chairs. :thumbs:

now that makes sense but I can't afford it and I doubt anyonw will want to sponsor a LAN party around where I live.

and if you wanted to kick it up a notch, you should provide refreshment coolers and maybe even a snack table. and any other things you could do to make them feel confurtable (sp?)

I was already planning on doing that, but the down side is that I am gonn have to charge the peopl like 5 or 10 bucks to help the church to be convinced and to pay for food! :P :wootrock:

Are you sure it can&#39;t be in the winter Nick? I&#39;m going to go for about a week in the laurentians (Sp) For skiing and snowboarding lol it would be awesome to have a lan at the same time

The only LAN I am ever going to is if it were in Lynn. Or maybe some neighboring cities. And if it&#39;s going to have Serious Sam and not Counter Strike, I am not coming :P




Seriously though Counter Strike will pawn j00 at a LAN. You&#39;ll see more than 10 people show up if you advertise right. Maybe even 100. ;)

toledo, ohio. how far is it away from your place?

If you got a map look for Grand Rapids adn then follow 131 (Highway) north for about an inch and look to the left side of the highway, and find Cedar Springs...that is the town where I live. :thumbs:
