ok, i'm stupid...

i picked up the game, patched it to the latest, but it can't connect to any server to get a listing
what am i doing wrong? i am behind a firewall, but it doesn't restrict traffic going out,
just stuff coming in. do some ports need to be opened in order to browse?

yeah, that appears to be the port used for the dedicated servers,
i can connect using ase, but not the in-game browser.... :bawling:

I don't think ports is the issue. I have winxp internet firewall on, and I don't have any ports open on my router.
Can you not even see any servers at all? If not I can only hazard a guess and say that might be in your filter settings for displaying servers. When all else fails go ask in the DS forum.

Try diconnecting your router and see if you still have the problem. What kind of router do you have. I run UT2K3 through my Linksys BFSR14 and have no problems playing. I have not opened any ports.
