Hey, I am not a lumber jack or a fur trader,
and I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber or own a dog sled, and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzie from Canada although I am certain they're really really nice.
Uh, I have a Prime Minister not a president.
I speak English and French, not American, and I pronounce it about, not a boot.
I can proudly sew my country's flag on my back pack, I believe in peace keeping not policing, diversity not assimilation, and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch.
And it is pronounced zed, not zee, zed.
Canada is the second largest landmass, the first nation of hockey, and the best part of North America.
My name is Joe/OPTiMUS PRiME v2.0, and I am Canadian.
Thank You.

I'm not a canadian and I'v enever been there and I've only ever talked to 3 people that were, but I was told by one of them that my mock canadian accent sounds almost exactly like a native to her. but I was born and raised in southern california.

I am Canadian too, Alberta to be exact. I love my country till death do us part. We have pretty good beer yes...., but those Europeans have had a few hundred more years practice at brewing it and the taste testifies. Now marijuana on the other hand..... no matter who tries and in what country (legal or not) nobody can beat Canadian pot. As for Canadian accents, well IMO Canadians in general do not have a definitive accent. We merely pronounce a scant few words differently than US residents do. The only Canadians Successsfully accused of having an accent is french canadians (when speaking english) and Canadians from any of our eastern maritime provinces.

Canada is nice but man you guys get way too much snow. I remember the snow piled up like 15 feet high in front of the houses, you would drive down the street and couldn't see the houses cause the snow was so high. :P Me, I don't own a snow shovel, my wardrobe consists of 15 pairs of shorts, 20 tee shirts, a pair of sandals. Year round. ;)

Yeah, but in Florida for 6 months out of the year its too damn hot to go outside! :P

Now Ohio is a nice compromise....we get bitter cold AND sweltering heat. And sometimes BOTH within a 24 hour period.

Due to global warming Canadian winters are not all that harsh and snowy anymore. Case in point I was riding my motorcycle year round last year. I had to park it once in January for a week, and once in February for two weeks because of too much snow and ice on the roads. But other than those cumulative 3 weeks I rode all year round (winter months included). In case you were wondering yes the temperatures were dipping to as low as -15 degrees celsius and I was still riding.

Ha that is funny. Global Warming. ;) Even if the theory is true, it is such and insignificant amount at this point, that is not the reason your winters have been mild. The weather patterns are more likely to be the reason. As it looks now, there maybe another El Nino which will keep the cold fronts from dipping so low south, so we all may be in for another mild winter. :)

Actually here in the Keys, our temperature stays more constant than inland Florida. We usually have a land and sea breeze effect. So it is not as bad here as in other parts. The southern coasts of Florida are similar to the Keys, as they also get the ocean and land breezes. Now Orlando, that is a different story. :P
