I know the forums are running slow for some of you. This is the response from our host:


Nothing on the server side - it's all because of this nice little virus going
around, causing a LOT of network congestion.

Servers are all running very nicely... low loads, etc.  Tracert's from your users
would show where exactly the problem/congestion is.

It seems tracerts confirm this as the execution times are still in the tenths of a second range for the forums. Things should get better as the worms die out over the next few days.

Yeah, it's good to get the info and fixblast.exe from Symantec or elsewhere out to anyone who needs it. MS's update site has been choked from this, and it was a fast-hitting bug. Fortunately, it seems that one expelled, no other damage is done.

:bandhead: My cousin-in-law's entire computer was choked with a worm virus.

Funny thing is that it's not CONSTANTLY slow!
I start playing sam with a 100ping and then it multiplies itself by 10!
SAme goes for my download speed, except that it decreases! :cool:
