it seems like this question gets recycled every so often
i am mainly using first, although 3rd works well in some cases.
3rd = see around corners, see more, get whacked while goofing around the corners
1st = closer to the action, larger targets to aim at, irritating red bloodsplatter screens
although you can see more in 3rd, it is mitigated if you are constantly moving in 1st
