View Full Version : Boot up annoyance

When I boot up into Windows, the damn OS detects "printer". I don't have a printer, and i never will. :P

I install a driver for a printer on my LAN, and it says "error during hardware install", then when i reboot it pops up again.

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Morph.

Sometimes fax modems are recognized as printers by windows. What type of printer does it say it has found? You can go in to device manager and if there are any devices that have a yellow question mark next to them find out what they are and either try to delete them or disable them.

Look into your printer folder, control panel, printers and faxes is one way. See what's there. This usually happens when Windows detects something attached to your parallel port. Is anything attached? :dunno:

Crism, I totally agree with Shogun. If you can't contribute positively, don't post.
