this gets asked everywhere i am sure, sam also.
how do some people manage to get one shot kills every time?
this is on non-instagib levels. i know that headshots do more
damage, but this was unbelievable, and I have seen it on some
3 servers. is is a matter of the right weapons + headshot?
On some i would head up a ramp, then bam, dead. And neither
would i be able to hear the shot, see who shot me with what.
Is that lag or what? anyway thanks all.
For some weapons a head shot is a one shot kill. You were probably getting nailed with a shock rifle or the lightning gun. They also could have had quad damage (or whatever it's called in UT).

It's all about accuracy, if you play players like Red Gummi, you'll get used to it. The top players get head shots all the time, it also depends on your health shield levels of course.

Also can depend on how close they are when they hit you depending on the weapon...

Bio Rifle!! woot...250 damage for one fully loaded shot. Theres a thousand ways you can die one shot one kill...but the only way to tell is...to look on the bottom left and see how you died. (Note...if its a headshot and your not using shortened messages it would say something like Player123 was made extra crispy by Player124's lightning gun..normal lg shot would say player123 rode player124's lightning) 140 health for lg shot to the head-70 for body shot-35 for a lucky lightning as I call it..its where you hit the floor with lg and sometimes it will have a splash and hit the player...well it always has a splash but rarely hits the player.

yeah a Very close range Flak to the grill will kill ya in one shot.
like sl8 said, a secondary Bio will kill ya in one shot
also the Lightning Gun one shot to the head (the killer will hear and see "HEAD SHOT")
a direct shock combo hit will also take you out in one shot
a fully charged sheild cannon will pummel you with one hit
Double Damage will make lots of things kill ya with one shot
I think that's all of the ways to die with one shot though

It really all depends on how much health you have..but for a 100 health...a direct hit flak shell im pretty sure does it and 2 loaded rockets etc...but as far as I know its impossible to get a one shot one kill with anything when you have max health (199/150) without amp

I dunno if I'd call the LG "splash damage" but it does have "close enough" damage... where you might not be right on the person but a little bolt will go over and hit them and damage them a little

:hmmm: maybe, but perhaps the person who gathered all the information made a mistake and this cool clan only copied it without testing or correcting it :shifty:
