View Full Version : How much is a house?

How much is it to build a house? And how much does it cost to maintain? I know there are different size houses. How much was the Whitehawk house for example? Lakefront property would be nice.

That sounds about right. However, the land is cheaper now. Lots that are still left (out in the boondocks) are selling for a mere 300g. You can't get around the price of the house and the rent though. I still don't think we're ready for all that.

I haven't broke 30 gold yet, and I wouldn't be able to make rent. I got dibs on the cardboard box outside......down by the river :P :jammin:

Is it possible to buy a house from people who have quit the game or just want to sell?
I would not mind going ahead and buying a lot if we can find a decent one for fairly cheap. I think we can scrounge up enough for a lot if it is only 300G.

I've been in all 3 housing districts. There are quite a few real nice ones. If you have not been there you really need to go.

Once you buy the lot I believe you have so many days to put up the house or forfeit the lot.
I don't believe there are any used home sales. If an owner misses rent or quits the game....the house is lost and the lot goes back on the open market.
I think this is correct.....D.E., help me out here
Have you toured around the housing area? A lot of homes are open for anyone to go inside and check out. In some homes you can do your crafting.
A house is definite goal of our guild...but until we get a lot of high level guys farming gold...its going to be awhile.
Term is right.... a 'used' house wouldn't do you much good anyways. All of the controls that go with the house translate to the buyer of the house. They control everything from who has access to the merchants and vaults to who can even get inside the door.
A house is an awesome place to do crafting, hold meetings and to bind for porting to places easily. However, those 3 functions come at a huge cost (for lower levels). These costs become more reasonable as you level up and are bringing home more gold than before.
If the house rent isn't paid, or if you don't purchase a home within 7 days of purchasing the lot, then everything goes back to the bank (you can retrieve anything that was left in the house vault). So getting a house should only come at a time when the guild can reasonably afford it (ie. in addition to armor, weapons, etc.).
Dark Lev: You're just jealous because you don't have as much gold as we do. :P

if im not mistaken you can hire your own salesman that will sit on your portch and sell anything you give to him then you just pick up the money when ever. if you find alot of stuff worth selling it might be an easy way to pay the rent..... see diagram below ( little timmy is selling donuts, Grimith dosent like to sell thing so he stuck living in a van down by the river *cheap laugh seen in educational films*)
