Got 2nd in that chess tournament last weekend, when i was totally busted by a player rated 300 points lower than me (he won the tournament with 4 points (out of 5), I got 3 1/2 ). I was like SOOOOOO dead.. then he blundered, when he was an exchange (Rook for Bishop, with other pieces on too), and a pawn up.....and he let me get a vicious attack at the end, and I checkmated him. That earned me $64, which was double the entry free, so it went to buying some chess books.

I'm going to have to play a helluva lot better in November, if i'm to win $2000-$4000 at the American Open.....my god, I suck...

But my girl supports me, so I'm already on fire to win now...

THe old proverbial "the chess or the chick?". Um.. I think I'll take the chick, thank you very much. But of course, I'm like Captain Kirk.....I want to change the rules.....

Oh and if you laugh at my photo, I'll simply have to throw you in front of my minigun and make you do the chaingun cha-cha....
