Everytime I start my computer explorer (not internet explorer) crashes and then it works fine the second time it tries to start.

Does any one know why (JIM :online2long: )?

I am runnin ad-aware now, and antivirus in a sec!

ad-aware turned up 7 things-deleted them
antivirus got nothing trying restart later to see if that works.

maybe a windows update too. What OS you running and what version of IE you have?

Oh my bad not internet explorer, the more important one that shows you your desktop...i'll fix that in the original post.

hmmmm, explorer.exe.
you prolly have some type of file causing a problem.
try making a new profile and see if it still happens with the other profile.
if not, then just copy your junk over...
