Greetings,

I noticed this topic when i signed up, and thought the response automated. And thus I am truly abashed at the welcome (and still a little kindly incredulous if you'll forgive me). I have signed up elsewhere in the recent past, but this is the first pro-active response, if it can so be called. Many thanks, everyone.

Sepra i'm afraid i am not much of a games player (not to say it is unwanted, but i'm only just discovering its, shall we say, addictive joy). But to answer your question, i have been finding time for diablo and sim city while the kids are at school. (Please don't tell anyone)

Looking at some of these topics however, i am unsure i'd like them visiting here until they are a touch older. (joke)

Once again, i thank you for the welcome. It was unexpected yet no less appreciated.

We are just a great big family here at GM.
Now you are one of us SG.

As for games: You must discover Serious Sam,
for one reason I'll never see you if you don't

Welcome again

Die Hard,

From the look of this place it's evident serious sam is the game of choice. Seems i'm left with little choice but to look into a copy.

(Gosh darn another game - won't the whipper snappers be upset.)

I know what you mean about the sense of family - it is quite evident even from my brief period among you. I certainly look forward to joining in the fun and getting to know you all a little better.

Thank you for your response.

Hi Jiminator,

My hope is certainly to gather some much needed finances, purchase one of these games soon, and join in the fun.

Thanks for your generous welcome.

Regards,
SG

Jiminator,

I should clarify - i meant more with regards to the cost of a high speed connection. Cable is not available and ADSL is not cheap here in Newcastle.

As far as Serious Sam goes, i had a look for it but have so far come up empty (i did see a Gold edition, but it was very expensive). It seems things are just not as readily available here as they are in America.

Still, i'll save for the Gold and get to the rest eventually.

Regards,
SG

Hey SG,

Don't worry too much about ADSL or cable.
My 56k moden connection worked just fine
on Sam.

I now have (allegedly) a whopping huge
connection, yet my Sam connection, has
got worse!

There are now also plenty of Euro Servers
for Sam. They will give you an even better
ping.

Come on man, get you in Sam
