Ok, I just got done reading the pinned stuff and read alot of question posts etc and I have to say it&#39;s very overwelming :unsure: :baby: I think I may be too dumb to play this game. There&#39;s so much to remember and I hardly understood anything. :unsure:

I already have a question. I was looking at the DAOC member names thread and was reading the classes. It&#39;s all jibberish. Can anyone tell me what each class does? Will I have to choose a class from the beginning or is that after that level 5 thing?

There is a lot to learn.

You&#39;ll find you spend a lot of time playing and everyone will help you get the feel of it. It was my first RPG and I thought I would never like those types of games. It grows on you and then calls your name to start it back up.

It does seem overwhelming at first, but I can honestly say this, "If I am capable of playing this game, anyone is capable of playing the game." And just remember, i&#39;m blonde. :thumbs: You can do it&#33; The biggest thing for you to worry about right now is what type of character do you want to be and what your game name will be. See you in Camelot. I usually play as Laurelle in the game but I also have a character named Jaketta. To see if any of the Outlaws of Darkness are on, type: /who Outlaws and then it will list any Outlaws playing.

Now that&#39;s the thing. What characters are available and what&#39;s the difference?

There are four different races to choose from:
Briton
Highlander
Avalonian
Saracen

Britons can become:
fighters
rogues
mages
elementalists
acolytes
disciples

Highlanders can become:
fighters
rogues
acolytes

Avalonians can become:
fighters
mages
elementalists
acolytes

Saracen can become:
fighters
rogues
mages
disciples

After level 5:
fighters can become armsmen, paladin, or mercenaries
rogues can become scouts, infiltrators, or minstrels
acolytes can become friars or clerics
elementalist can become theurgist or sorcerer
mages can become cabalist or wizards

Definately read everything pinned here, check out the newb guide, DAOC site, print out the maps, and I also think the Dark Age of Camelot official strategy book is great&#33; It is a learning adventure, and if you aren&#39;t happy with the character that you make, you can always make new ones. Several people in the guild play different characters.

I got started tonight and my characters name is Seprah :w00t:

Gharac and Grimox hooked me up with some gold&#33;&#33; :drink: I went on a shopping spree and bought me a new head to toe leather outfit with the money Gharac gave me :D This is alot of fun so far.

BTW I&#39;m on my 3rd level and just about to my 4th&#33;&#33; :wootrock:
