is there able to divide mpeg, divX and Mpeg4 movies? or any another formats?

if it is possible I'm sure the quality is gonna be about VCR quality as opposed to DVD quality. Of course I really don't know for sure but I'm assuming that it's just gonna be in a VCD or SVCD format anyway.
There are plenty of dvdripping programs out there along with programs like virutal dub to compress the video once it's been converted. I'd prolly head over to doom9 and check out there forums... www.vcdhelp.com is also a really good site

Use virtualdub to split movies up so you can record each section onto it's on SVCD or CDRW.

today, you can pickup a pioneer ao5 dvd burner for under 200 bucks, so why waste the time? quality will always be the better choice.
