On the other hand, with the exceptionof DD, and the occasional win by one or two others, they aren&#39;t playing SS that well either. Things have changed since Mercs used to dominate. There is a new world order. :devil:

Personally, I could care less who beats me in Sam, as long as it&#39;s Fair play. I don&#39;t give a damn who&#39;s in a server, I play for fun.

I give the Merc&#39;s credit for doing this, It&#39;s brought life back to their forums and it&#39;s made some players show their true colors

As far as UT goes, Salvation plays it, or used to. He was as good as I was. I don&#39;t know about the rest of them and you never can tell. Last week I found out crism can play, and kicks ass, so there may be a Merc out there that can play. If so, I&#39;d be happy to kick their ass.

I think the Merc&#39;s are fortunate to have DD as well.. :devil:

I wonder how many clan players are quitting games so they wont appear in screenies :w00t:

DL is to be found.. I am very busy finishing up some work on my house and by tonight I should be finished. After tonight, I will be playing regularly.. well at least for this week anyway. :)

But taking the bait a moment, I think the results achieved by guys like SLiK and Phoenix in the recent tournament proved that, even with a little rust and a long hiatus, they are still kick ass, cream of the crop players. DD is in a class of his own, sure (would that FASTway were playing), but without him i think these guys would still win a high percentage of matches, if not as convincingly as some MERCS would like. [wink] But i feel that&#39;s more to do with the general levelling of standards; surely an inevitability given the age of Sam as a fragger.

Ie, sure "domination" is going a little overboard, but it&#39;s all in good fun (besides, the word suits DL like cheap whiskey suits a homeless man). I do agree with you on the whole, Sirc - I for one am certainly of the opinion that the skill on offer these days from the player base as a whole is FAR beyond anything the MERCS faced in their glory days. I mean it&#39;s getting to the point where just about any clanner is a force to be reckoned with. [anguished]

By the by, i exclude myself from any personal association with my opening paragraph - i am by far the worst of the MERCS (simple math - it&#39;s rare that i ever beat any of them) and happily judge people by their varying ability to kick my ass. [chuckle]

On a side note, i must say i agree with DD on Merkwannabe - that boy&#39;s talent is coming along at a rate of knots&#33; Keep it up, dude-erino&#33;

Finally, as Pure Evil acutely alluded, i&#39;m quite frankly having a wee blast with all this, and genuinely thank our illustriously laborious heads of state (aka SAL & DL) for dreaming this thing up and doing their best to see it through. [thumbs up] I know we all have busy schedules at times.
