In 2001 AMD had a US tour. I went to it (Philly) at 6:30AM outside on a brisk morning. I think there was about 600 people there. They gave out 200 Athlon 2100+ processors and new motherboards to the lucky winners of the raffle. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them, but they are having another show/giveaway in Nov across the country. I am going again and hope to pick up a brand new CPU this time. Also this time it is at night and indoors.

Just got back from the show with empty hands. Now all you lazy bums that didn't go to the show but registered on their site have the same chance as I to win something. LOL

I was one number off winning one of the raffles for a CPU. I didn't head up front and break-dance for a T-Shirt, Hat or carry bag.

They had two guys at the end of the show picked from another raffle, finish off putting together a pc each. Winner for being able to boot up and benchmark the highest was $2500. They couldn't overclock but could pick a couple parts on a budget. One guy did it and won. The other couldn't get it to boot up, so instead of getting $500 he only got $100. They both got new processor also.
