How could you have 64-bit Windows if the chips have just been released? :hmmm:

phoenix, you most definetly will have 32 bit xp.

windows xp64 will be available by next year late 1st qtr or 2nd qtr. this os is now in beta and some people actually are running it with the opteron and/or amd's latest chips that support 64 bit. this os will support your 32 bit and 64 bit applications. i am sure there are alot of comapnies, even games already working on 64 bit apps. intel will also have a 32bit/64bit cpu out by this time so the market will steadily grow for 64 bit.

you may hear people say that 64 bit will not have any use for the gamers and normal desktop users but that is a false statement. with a 64 bit os along with 64 bit apps, they will handle the memory better than they do in 32 bit mode. more can and will be cached in ram and the more ram you have the better it will be.

the future looks fun...
